I think we can safely eliminate that possibility. Burke has shown that he's taking the same route that Ferguson did. He added plenty of vets to the team, and has gone after high-profile free agent forwards(but didn't get them) in an attempt to make the team better in the short term.
If there's any chance to land Savard you can bet your last dollar Burke will be all over it.
In fact, the forward that could make the most difference would be a true #1 centre, and Savard is the only one who looks realistically attainable anytime soon. Probably won't happen for a while though.
