You can make an argument for Lindbergh (or were we trying not to invoke his name?), but IMO it's really going to be based on "what if"s rather than what he actually accomplished. He was a good goalie who looked like he took his game up a few notches, but unfortunately he still only had that one really good year before the accident. If he could have strung together a few more elite seasons followed by a handful of very good seasons, then he would've been hands down the best Swedish goalie. That is, until Lundqvist comes to North America.

Interestingly enough, during Lindbergh's Vezina season (1984-85), his save % was .899.
