On his own merits Brad Park makes the NHL but the balance between offense and defense when considering Norris Trophy merit was tilted significantly towards offense by the accomplishments of Bobby Orr.
How Brad Park would have fared under the pre Bobby Orr era Norris criteria is not a given as some pretend it to be by eliminating Bobby Orr from consideration.
