Not that McIvor is going threaten anyone's top 6 time, but, he's a capable 7/8 if need be. Perhaps a SOB replacement? Brings the toughness when needed and won't balk at being at 7th or 8th on the depth chart.
With Fistric, Fortunus (Dallas property) and Rahimi now gone, Gillis is just restocking the D down in Manitoba.

Funk, Rome, Nycholat, Baumgartner and McIver would all be capable replacements in the NHL should there be a significant number of injuries on the Canucks' D.
