I was maybe six or seven and the Flyers were playing the Rangers at MSG. My father had season tickets at that point (back when they were affordable) which second row on the blueline behind the visitor's bench. During warm-ups, there were the usual fans standing around and yelling, taunting, and harrassing the Flyers. I was sitting in my seat, reading my program and not really paying attention to what was going on. At one point, the Flyers' equipment manager turned around and pointed to me. I thought I was in trouble for yelling at the team. He called me over (for some reason, I went). He then offered me one of Pelle's sticks that had just cracked during warm-ups. I was thrilled, even though I was a Ranger fan.

Of course, at the time, I wished it was an Eddie Mio stick!

He was a great goalie. I hope that Henrik Lundqvist can become the player that Lindberg was.
