Ribeiro is listed 6'1" at some places... but hes still about 20 lbs lighter than Plekanec and doesnt seem to be able to add muscle at all. Hes built like stick without any kind of upperbody strength at all - which will ultimately be his undoing. Ribeiro has slightly better reach, by three inches, but Plekanec is much better build to survive NHL hitting. So the size issue is a moot point to say the least, imo.

Ribeiros strength is in playmaking department, but Plekanec is more versatile player with better defensive awareness ... and hes better skater too. It seems that Pleks needs little more AHL time - he had a decent rookie season there last year but he needs to have bigger role than he had with Gratton and Stoll above him in the charts.
