PREVIEW
The Ducks close out their preseason tonight against the Kings, hoping for a better results than they had against another Pacific Division rival Friday night.

Anaheim was unable to get much of anything going offensively in a 6-0 defeat at San Jose, throwing just 15 shots at goalie Evgeni Nabokov. The Ducks elected not to suit up many of its regulars for the game -- including Scott Niedermayer, Ryan Getzlaf, Teemu Selanne, Saku Koivu, Joffrey Lupul and James Wisniewski -- having played the night before in a 3-2 overtime victory in Vancouver.

Those players are expected to be in the lineup tonight for the last preseason game before the Ducks open the regular season Saturday night against the Sharks at Honda Center. After sending winger Ryan Donally and goalie Justin Pogge to San Antonio yesterday and releasing veterans Kyle Calder and Jassen Cullimore from their pro tryouts, the Ducks are now down to 26 players on their training camp roster.

The Kings, meanwhile, are having a nice preseason, as a 5-3 victory over Colorado last night in their 12th annual Frozen Fury exhibition in Las Vegas improved their record to 4-2-1.

They defeated the Ducks 4-1 at STAPLES Center eight nights ago. L.A. also opens the regular season next Saturday, against the Coyotes at home.
