Bergeron is small and can be an adventure in his own end. Really I think the Rangers liked Semenov's size, the bit of snarl he brought and the more defensive nature of his style. I think we have some breathing space to look for somebody still--two weeks to a month we can probably get through with what we have now.

On the subject of the pwp and Drury's ice time. I think Tortorella is sending a message to the whole team--because it's not just Chris but also Redden and Rozsival who are not getting the pwp time either--that you're going to have to earn your ice time. I think it's refreshing that the coach expects results no matter the investment in cap space. If a player is not succeeding he's going to get his prime time curtailed.

In any case this years pwp has not scored but looks much more dangerous--more puck movement at the point and down low--a lot more movement in general and more players attacking the net and/or trying to set up screens.
