Well Charlotte's rluster has dimmed after losing 2 in a row. The combinations of call ups and injuries are apparently taking a toll as the Checkers have been playing with less than a full allotment of skaters.

Coach Wilkinson might have to start looking around for another goalie as well. Kelly Guard has been lights out but he was injured in a loss to Columbia. Should be back soon, but our old friend Ron Low has been scouting Charlotte for the last 2 weeks and scuttlebutt has it that Guard would have been called up to Binghamton if he hadn't tweaked his groin.

The funny thing is both the goalies cut by the Checkers at the start of the season are doing quite well. Petruk has been a top goalie for Bakersfield and Ayers just got called up to the AHL.
