Well, Charlotte's no longer the top team in the ECHL. They're no longer the top team in their division (that's more because of Pee Dee playing more games) and while their division tivals are stocking up with locked out NHL players (Boulton, Stevenson), the Checkers will remain shorthanded.

Unless something's announced today, the Checkers will go with 9 forwards and 5 defensemen this weekend. Both games are divisional, so 2 wins will put them in 1st and 2 losses will drop them to the middle of the pack.

Speaking of Pack, checkersfan announces that Murray and Hamilton will play this weekend, but McGill has no plans to send anyone down as the Pack is playing a tough schedule with a lot of games in the next 2 weeks.
