FYI - When someone says a goalie is handling the puck it means anytime he leaves the crease to play the puck. It does not mean he is literally stickhandling and deking oncoming forwards, just the fact he left the crease to play the puck (and no he is not throwing the puck as you states, throwing would involve picking it up and actually tossing it with his blocker).
