Have you spent time in Sweden and/or Finland? I've lived in Sweden and have been traveling to both countries pretty regularly since the late 1960s. I have friends in both countries. I think I can safely say that BOTH Finns and Swedes are very proud people. And all the Nordic countries (even Iceland) are not afraid to "wave the flag". Just because Swedes tend to be shy and don't speak so loudly doesn't make them any less patriotic.

Stereotypes are so freakin' stupid.
