Came over to this board (of the enemy
) seeking some common sense, as the NYI board, with rare exception, is pro-hardcap propaganda, 24x7. The whining of persecuted types who follow a team with limited resources and the lack of nads to spend what it takes. So, of course, the familiar cry: let's punish teams that win and/or have the resource$ with a restrictive cap. And even more pathetic: "let scab players play, to heck with the NHLers, let them wash dishes".
Some people are willing to pay for and deserve mediocrity and worse. All in the name of giving their hometeam a weak opportunity to possibly compete for a dumbed-down, watered-down Cup in a league that would be in worse shape than it is today. Class envy personafied.
Thanks for allowing me to rant, can't even post on that board anymore, and I suppose it is the same on some 20 other boards, with fans of the have nots whining away about "showing those players" and "I'm excited to watch scabs play".
