The Checkers ended their 4-game winless streak beating Louisiana 3-2.

On the prospect side, goals for Stals and Cullen. Assists for Jamieson and Glenn.

Checkers have signed 2 defensemen to help fill holes along the blue line.

Curtis Menzulsigned from the Knoxville Ice Bears in the SPHL. A regular Suitcase Simspon, he's played for 8 teams in 4 leagues and he only turned pro in 2000! Still, he's dominating at the SPHL level. Better than a point a game and +18 in 14 games. Not clear if this is a permanent signing or a short-term loaner.

Paul Lynch was acquire from the Johnstown Cheifs for future considerations. The Chiefs have 9 D on roster, so I guess they could spare one. He's a rookie pro and was a teammate of Lucas Lawson and Greg Moore's at U. Maine. Has 1 assist this year in 14 games.
