And how can you possibly scoff at the rollback? If you cannot see how this proposal gives the owners what they want, then....ahh...some things are just better unsaid.
If Bettman cannot work of this proposal he will deserve the every bit of the public flogging that the media will give him.
I agree that A luxery tax can work, but this luxery tax definatly can not. It's got to be up in the 70% 100% range. It's ok if one team goes over the cap and pays through the roof, but none of the wealthy teams are going to respect a 20% tax over $45 Million. But i'm still hopeful, lets see what the owners comeback with.
