Bure had a lot to do with acceleration- I remember that turn he tried to make at top speed and his knee blew out-

Allison same age as Koivu, has missed over 45 games in two of the last 4 seasons. Not as bad as Koivu but still injury prone and had another set back recently so this year doesn't look good either.
Deadmarsh's only relatively healthy season recently was two years ago missing only six games. He has missed 61 games, 25 games, 11 games, 16 games during the last 5 seasons. And again this year doesn't look good for him either as he enters the season with concussion problems still looming.
Pronger has had one injury filled year followed by a relatively injury free season for the last few years. But missed 77 games last year, and has missed 21 games, and 15 games during the last 5 seasons.
Lindros, the point is still valid. Size and speed but still gets injured.
Koivu might be worse, its not whats in question. Its the fact that fast and big players get injured as much as small and slow players. But I get the impression I could list off 200 more players who have size and speed and get injured a lot, and you would still insist the only reason guys get injured is they are slow and small.
