So, and this is just a question I'm throwing out there, was Koivu too slow or too small when he did his knee a few years back after catching his skate in a rut on crappy ice?
Hmmm, no answer for that?
And the first time he did his knee, I think he was out-accellerating his opponent to the puck when the opponent hit him awkwardly.
Let's see, there was the knee on knee hit that he endured...I suppose he could be considered too slow there for not having ducked out of the way of the check. Or, since the opponent led with the knee, it might be that he really had little chance to get out of the way.
Now, this time, he got to the puck first and swiped it successfully to the defender. He had his back to the player who hit him....so...hm.. Too slow? Perhaps not. Too small? Perhaps just in an awkward position.
What about when he did his shoulder at practice that time. He was standing still and someone came up and hit him from behind. Ya know, when yer at yer own practice standing around between drills you don't really expect to be hit, so I'm going out on a limb to say he wasn't too slow or too small there either.
Or maybe it's all me. I'm too slow to keep up with hockey and understand what goes on. And I'm too small to actually see the TV.
A fed up fan.
