Nothing really beats the feeling of announcing "Accueillons nos Canadiens"...

Saturday, after the Canadiens were penalized for the 5th time in the first period, I heard the loudest boos ever in the Bell Centre! But to see them coming back in the 3rd period was great.

As for last night, that win has put smiles on so many faces! It's great to see.

Usually, when I work games, I show up about two hours before the game. I work out pronunciations, put the lineups into my scoresheet (on my laptop - Michel still uses paper), grab a bite to eat at the Jacques-Beauchamp lounge, then proceed downstairs for the warmup. Minor officials bring me the starting lineups, I contact the game presentation department to set things up for the giant screen, and the show starts exactly at 12:50 on the game clock.

Welcome, officials, minor officials, starting line-up for visitors... videos... kids on the ice with the flags (officially known as "Be part of the team"), then... when the starting goalie leaves the dressing room (which is straight across from my position on the bench)... it's time!

Intro our starting line-up, the siren goes, then the anthems and it's gametime!
