In each of our last 3 victories, we have lost a player to injury. Scuderi in Tampa, Smyth in Florida, and now Loktionov in Edmonton. All on the road, too. If that is what the Hockey Gods want, then so be it.

I propose the following:

1) The sacrificial offering of one prospect per game for the rest of the season. Their ritual injuries will clearly ensure victory.

2) For conservational purposes, we should probably only do this before games against the West. Perhaps only divisional games in order to maximize efficiency.

3) As the prospect pool thins, we shall need to do two things. First, sign more prospects. Second, as the quality of our sacrifices shall become reasonably shoddy by the New Year, we will need to sacrfice more at a time, which will necessitate even more scouting and prospect signing. This is what Lombardi REALLY meant by success through the draft.

Accept our humble gift, o Wrathful Hockey Gods.
