Why is everyone acting like this is the first time that Gilroy has been beaten on the rush? This is a recurring trend for him.

Asides from last night, it happened on the OT goal at Montreal and Matt Bradley flew right by him during that Caps game at the Garden. Also, Gilroy was one of the 4 players standing around in the crease doing nothing during Chicago's PP goal.

If sending him down will teach him how to take a forward out of the play, then I'm all for it. It is not out of the ordinary for a rookie defenseman to be sent down.
