Not a chance I'd trade them straight up
. Spacek is soft as can be, and you should reference Sabres fans to see how much they miss him. O'Byrne has the frame, with little athleticism. His improvement should be pointed to his understanding of the game, and playing within himself, not to some sort of overall revelation.
I guess all it takes is a couple of wins to catch up to the world-beating Habitants (2 points behind, 1 game less).
I'm no fanboy, I recognize that we are very short on talent up front, and are simply a pretender when it comes to trying to beat the best the NHL has to offer. I just know an all-world defensive D-man when I see one.
Great, because neither would we
Ask any GM in the NHL, he'll pick Hammer way before Komisarek for that #2-D spot.
As for Spacek, the guy has been outstanding for us so far considering he's playing his off-wing. He's great at blocking shots and makes a great first pass.
I take both way before Komisarek. The guy's lost all respect in the NHL since Lucic made him his ***** last season, and he no longer has the same kind of authority over other players...
Enjoy your winning streak little boy, something tells me it won't last too long again.
