So shave a 200k somewhere and we're good. Pretty tight though, gotta start season with minimum roster. It would be nice if NHL cap went up 500k, or 1m.

MAB will be gone. He was signed as a band-aid, it's great he played well but he wasn't in Habs long term plans. Can't afford him at the 2-3m he'll get somewhere. Spacek or some kid (Weber, Subban) can be Markov's PP howitzer as was originally planned lats summer.

Unfortunately Metro is prolly gone since the Habs can't afford a raise for him which he'll no doubt get somewhere. Replaced with a kid.

Laraque will have to be cleared out somehow. Trade him for a song, send him to minors, or make him retire (as he should be), even a buyout (500k over 2 years) would be tough to swing.

Some malcontents won't like it, but this is our team guys. It's a good team if it plays to potential, solid veteran Dmen, and if it's playing a coached system well, it can make playoffs, and if grit & clutch come through it can win series' and surprise some critics.
