The 4th line was okay, but overplayed. The 3rd line was atrocious. Gomez started strong and ended poorly. Gionta was buzzing, but you could tell he'd missed a lot of time. Cammalleri started strong and died off. Kostitsyn was medicore outside of the first period. Plekanec was okay. Pouliot was incredible.

Markov was great. Spacek was a big pile of meh. O'Byrne was bad. Bergeron was worse. Gill was nearly as bad as the last two. Gorges was pretty decent.

Halak was decent. The first two goals were deflections, but the last one looked a little weak.

JM receives a big fat Z-rating. Terrible coaching system.
I strongly agree with all of this... except the coaching system, as it pertains to this game.

Why are people blaming this lost on the coaching system?

JM allowed the top 2 lines to wheel and deal a bit more... and they just didn't do enough in the 2nd and 3rd periods.

The main reason we lost was that we didn't get to use our PowerPlay at all the entire game. That kind of hurts a lot when you have the best PP in the league...
