I thought it was a trip but then I no longer know what constitutes a trip in this league. Seriously, every time I see a play that I think is a trip they never call it unless it's a can opener or a sticking out the leg/foot situation.

I don't know, maybe the league just got sick of all the diving, and players deliberately stepping on other players sticks to "trip" themselves (i.e. Derek Roy and Daniel Briere among others), and just told the refs not to call stick trips anymore unless there's a stick between a player's legs?

It just seems to me they rarely call trips anymore. I'm fine with the non-call because that's how they've been calling it in Habs' games this year. So many times it's gone the other way, where a Habs player gets tripped and the other team gets a break the other way.

We were due.

Nice win, not great because we sucked in the 3rd, but nice. Another 2 points in the bag, 10 points so far with another two up for grabs tomorrow.
