Question: Fighting in non-NHL leagues.

So I was talking to a guy who was complaining about the fighting in the NHL... to the point that he won't even watch hockey at all anymore. Anyhow, I said "Fighting has always been a part of hockey, and hopefully always will be." To which he responded with "It's only a part of North American professional hockey."

So my question, is: How do leagues like the Czech, Swede, Russian, etc... view fighting? Is it tolerated like it is in the NHL? Is it as prevalent?
