Fights still happen.
People who stop watching/don't watch hockey because of fighting use that as a cop out, nothing else. I've heard that from people before, brought them to games, they very much enjoy it, and even stand and cheer the fight should one happen. I've also found that people who, "stop watching because of fighting" never really watched much as it were. It's a lame cop out excuse.
Fighting has always happened in hockey, it has always gone on in this game, and it happens in every other sport. It's not going to stop, even if the NHL starts ejecting players for fighting.
98% of the crowd stands and cheers wildly during fights. The overwhelming majority love fights in the NHL.
