There is no guarantee with the others.

Kreider is an NHL player because he's a physical specimen.

He's a freak of an athlete.

I have no doubts about Stepan, Werek, and Grachev.

But, if Grachev doesn't develop his offense at the pro ranks, what else does he provide?

Werek isn't a phenomenal skater.

Kreider's skating, size, strength will put him in the NHL guaranteed.

But anyway, I feel all of them will make it. They all have the talent, but they all also have the mental make up and work ethic to do it.
That's not what people mean when they call him a wild card. I think all they meant was that they don't know what level of player he'll be.
