I just can't see it happening. The Isles wouldn't give up much unless they could sign him long term. And I don't see why Kovalchuk would want to be there long-term. yes the team is on the right track, but after all his years in Atlanta I'd think Kovalchuk would be more interested in contending in the short term. But who knows. Stranger things have happened.
