the funny thing about the "falling" list is that they only have three guys falling, but 12 guys rising???
Kevin Clare is not an offensive defensemen, I do not know what ISS could have a problem with, as he will fit the mold of a Mark Mitera type player.
Clare and Fowler were the top two ranked U-18 dmen last year, and unfortunately for him, the likes of Merrill, Forbort, Tinordi, Johns, and Faulk have all come on like a freight train. I would throw in Merrill with Fowler and Clare, as all three were projected first rounders last year.
I don't believe Clare will be a first round talent, but understand that this is the type of player that doesn't fall out of the third round imo. He is way too reliable in his own zone. He always has excellent positioning in the mold of a Paul Martin. He may be getting overshadowed now by some of the "bigger" boys on that US blueline, but Kevin Clare is still going to be a pretty high draft pick.
Nick Mattson would be the guy I would put as falling over Kevin Clare, as Mattson is the one that has had a better offensive game, but has struggled at stretches this year in the USHL.
