I think your list will be short indeed.
In any case, no one has claimed that there's no other way to build a championship team. Having top players acquired by selecting high has proven
the most consistent
way of doing it. The history is really quite clear on that.
Um...... The only recent dynasty in hockey. The Detroit Red Wings. That should be enough to show you.
You look at it and decide for yourself.
