I tried to get used to a cage and full face shield in the late 80s early 90s and just could not. I went without anything since then until this year when I fianlly found a visor that optically felt like I was not wearing anything which was the Bauer HS22 straight cut visor.
I have a couple of dingers from highsticks it saved me from, previously I would just bleed and after I got home would apply a butterfly band-aid to close the wound
It has been nice not getting small cuts this past year for a change.
The visor won't help me with losing teeth or what have you but whatever, over 40 now and I do not play seriously anymore so it should be good more or less.
Haha yea man, look at all those NHL players sure they get a high sticks every now and then but it doesn't stop them from slapping that visor on. I hate the restricted visibility with a cage and I just want to make the change now so I can get used to it before I start next season.
