Former is his job, that's what news media is for. The latter is what makes him fun to read. The facts should be supplied by NYR. But since they withhold them routinely and often lie to the fans with strait face the other sources are used to get the information. Brooks is not that source. His purpose is different. If you want facts demand it from NYR. Good luck with that!
