Sather constantly adds soft players, small players or players afraid to get their nose dirty. It's not always about fighting and goons. There are many D men out there that players know will hit you if you rush up their wing and think twice about it.

This is exactly the thinking that Sather has done wrong for SO long. "We need more scoring? This guy has X points...there it is." Enter more finesse guys to get pushed around. Say what you want about the Devils, but if you look at their roster it's not like they are a bomb squad. They are big and rugged and when you play them you will have to work your ass of and get some bruises. Same with Philly. Same with the Pens.

The reason we cant score is because we have very few players willing to pay the price or park themselves in front of the net to take a pounding.
