Parking Advisory For Bridgestone Arena Events

Beginning February 3rd, 2010, work on the Music City Center site will begin in phases. All parking lots presently owned by Metro within the boundaries of the site, will be permanently closed. The lot south of the Sommet Center between Demonbreun and Shirley/Franklin Street will remain open until further notice. The 16-acre site for the Music City Center is bordered by Demombreun on the north, Franklin/Shirley St. on the south, Fifth Ave. on the east, and Eighth Ave. on the west.

Alternate parking lots that are recommended for use during Sommet Center events include:

Main Library garage, located at Seventh Ave N. and Church St., ($4)
Pinnacle at Symphony Place garage, located at Third Ave. S. and Demonbreun St., ($10)

Entrances to the Main Library garage are located on Sixth and Seventh Avenues between Church and Commerce Streets. The entrance to the Pinnacle at Symphony Place garage is on Third Avenue between Symphony Place and Demonbreun. For easy access to the Pinnacle at Symphony garage and many other downtown garages, take the Shelby Street exit next to LP Field, take Korean Veterans Boulevard to Second or Third Avenues South and turn right.|NSH|home

I'm going to make this a sticky for now...please make sure to leave extra time for parking as you head down to the arena and as everyone figures things out - if you so choose - maybe we can use this thread as a networking site to help each other avoid potential pitfalls...
