It's gotten to the point that the players either just ignore Martin's defensive approach or go out and suck. Coach is being tuned out, but it's more subtle than pure suckage.

They won't progress until they start losing and fixing their problems and Halak is giving them the illusion of quality.

(Yes, I am kidding about trading Halak, but not about the point that he's covering up a dismal situation.)
There's no way the organization isn't seeing how bad this team is playing, even with Halak saving their ass every game. It's clear as day to anyone with a pair of eyes. Martin is terrible though, as soon as Cammy gets injured, goes out and says we're going to be more defensive, we got out and give up 47 shots two straight games. He says we're a puck-possesion the team, yet we're always dumping the puck. Sheesh..
