I'll agree that both goals can be traced back to terrible mis-handling up the puck by Leighton. That said, he bailed them out some too. It wasn't a bad game from a back up goalie.
You don't get unlucky or snakebit for two month long stretches. There is more than bad luck at work here.
Well first of all, it's two 1 month long stretches.
Second, you can absolutely get lucky/unlucky for long periods, look at Jim Carey.
