Eh I find personally with my stick being on the longer side it helps me get more on my shots.

The obvious one being a slapper but I just feel with the longer stick I can really put more of my weight into it and get more of a flex. Prob helps that I already grip pretty low on my sticks most the time.

Also with the extra length I agree it helps me handle better. If I need I can just one one hand and cup it far out of reach from people and can suck it in pretty tight too.
