I agree certainly on the slappers. The only point where the length hurts is pulling in when you're in motion and getting ready to shoot- that takes longer with a longer stick, of course. I've also found the ideal length stick for me is halfway between my chin and mouth on skates. It's just ideal for me. I simply can't use a stick much below my chin, I so prefer it for stick handling.
