The Flyers and Devils game will almost certainly be played as originally scheduled on Wednesday night, despite forecasts calling for 14-20 inches of snow in downtown Newark, N.J. The Flyers are currently en route (as of 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday) to North Jersey and NHL rules dictate that the game should be played as scheduled when both teams are in a given city, outside of extraordinary circumstances. Whether the referees will arrive on time could throw a wrench into the schedule: Washington, D.C., Philadelphia and Newark/JFK/LaGuardia all have massive flight cancellations in anticipation of the storm. In fact, Newark Int'l Airport is already closed for tomorrow. Rest assured, though, you will get your Flyers fix in Thursday's Daily News as we're already on-site.
