It's all about who you receive, not necessarily who you trade. It became the "Roy" trade when we received an average goalie and 2 3rd liners for one of the best goalie that has ever played the game.

The Ribeiro trade was THAT awful 'cause of Niinimaa. You succeed in getting a guy like Trevor Daley and a 1st round pick that became Kris Letang and you don't talk a whole lot about Ribeiro. Mind you, Ribeiro was not worth that much. But I'm just saying that it's a lot about who you receive.

And the clear example is the Latendresse-Pouliot trade. You would have seen a riot if Latendresse with his record would have been traded for a plugger. It became a fine trade 'cause of who we received.

You end up trading Price for Steve Mason and Derick Brassard, Steve Mason regains his old form and become the great goalie he was and Brassard explodes, and even if Price ends up great, it wouldn't be that much of a problem. Again, this is not a trade proposal. Just talking about another example of how it wouldn't be that bad.
