You forget that among Malone's icetime, there's a lot of PK, because he's very good in his own end.
It's pretty safe to say that Havlat > Malone but there's no real huge difference between the two, especially if you factor in the PK, defensive play and physical play.
Which is why I don't think the Pens would "easily" trade Malone in a deal for Havlat.
You can shake your head all you want.
I didn't say he won't improve, I questioned how much he'll improve.
Which due to his age and the fact that he stepped into a 1st line role right away... is a fair question.
He's not going to have the substantial improvement of a 19 year prospect with limitted ice time.
