But Malone is a power forward, and they usually take longer to develop.
The ultimate HF Boards cliche. I would love to see statistical evidence that "power forwards" take longer to develop than other players. And something more substantial than just "look at Bertuzzi". Because it certainly doesn't apply to Eric Lindros, Keith Tkachuk, or Brendan Shanahan, each of whom was a substantial point producer within 3 years of entering the NHL.
