For the 2nd overall draft pick in a top heavy year?! Maybe i'm over-rating Johnson here.

Fla and CBJ did what amounted to a straight up swap of the 1 and 3. Fla had the right to swap the next year, but didn't need it.

Fla and Pitt swapped for draft picks and a marginal player.

CBJ and Car swapped this year for a 2nd rounder.

If teams in the top five would swap with Pitt at 2, there is no way a guy like Semin, for example since he's already been cited, would be going the other way.

Obviously, if you get further down in the draft order, you'd see more of a return, but honestly, how often do teams make big trades like that? You're more likely to see a swap of teams picking closer together.
I'm talking about straight up, not a swap.

The trade would be:

To DC: 2nd overall pick

To whomever:Alexander Semin and OTT's 2nd rd pick in '05
