Legwand tried to split 2 Chicago defenders and one of their sticks caught him and he got a hip pointer. Described as a very painful bruise directly on the hip bone. Once the pain goes away, he should heal quickly. He's been skating by himself and could return this weekend or sometime next week.

Jason York- partially detached retna...had successful surgery and has begun working out again. Could either be out until November (at the latest) or back for the first game (at best) but probably mid October.

Jim McKenzie- Sprained knee...has been skating by himself also. Not too sure when he'll be back. Could be back by first game, but could also miss some games in October.

Scott Walker- Had a charley horse that calcified. He's been back practicing for about 3 days but could still be held out of games. Probably ready by first game.

Dan Hamhuis- strained groin. Sat out practice the last few days to rest it, should be fine in a few days to a week.

I think that's all for the Predators....everyone should be ready to go by the first game or soon after, but for now those guys are hurt.
