Scored a natural hat trick this past weekend.

BARRIE - With straight three wins in the past five days, and six victories in a row, the Barrie Colts have improved their record to 51-8-0-2, clinching the championship in their division.

On Saturday night, Luke Pither scored a natural hat trick in leading the team to a 6-1 victory over the Niagara IceDogs. Other goal scorers were Kyle Clifford with a pair and Alex Hutchings.

With 104 points they are one point away from setting a franchise record. The 51 wins are a record for the Colts in their 15-year history.

Thursday night, they downed the London Knights 5-3 in a wild and woolly affair that saw seven game misconducts handed out, including a two game suspension to star defenseman Alex Pietrangelo.

Friday night, the team travelled south and thumped the Oshawa Generals 9-2, the third time this season the Colts have dented the twines nine times in a game.

Leading scorers over the three game stretch included Luke Pither with three goals and five assists, Alex Hutchings with three goals and three assists, Nick Crawford with six assists and Kyle Clifford with four goals and one assist.
