I don't expect to change the mind of a Crosby fan, but you should do some reading into the politics and world climate during the Summit Series.
I am well aware of the politics and world isn't exactly a historical secret. I am not downplaying the significance of '72, it just wasn't as hyped, or as watched as these games. You can say that playing it in the communist Soviet Union was high pressure, and it was, but I doubt playing at home with the pressure these guys were under was any less.
