It won't be in the end of the world if Greb bolts to KHL after this season-- a 2nd rounder appears to to be the going rate for an average dman, even if they are pending UFA. But, it will make the organization look like a doormat, again.

Mostly agree. Zids was about static so I'm not sure I'd point to that. I think he did ok with Shishkanov- a 2nd was it? He bagged Andy Delmore before the Sabres figured out his level of suck. You can't really count the firesale of Vokoun but he did ok there and you can't really count the Timonen/Hartnell situation.
