You simply can't project like that. He made 16 pts in one month. That's 1 ppg... Previously he had a total of 13 pts in 41 games. That one month certainly inflated his ppg average by quite a margin.
Extra minutes do not guarantee extra points... It's not a linear function where if ice time increases, the pts will just naturally come. There's physical fatigue, mental fatigue, a more focused defensive mindset against Hemsky, and of course concerns for possible injuries. It's not at all a simple increase to 0.75 ppg.
Sorry to temper the enthusiasm a bit... but I don't want you guys to get disappointed if Hemsky doesn't break the 60 pt barrier. Remember how old Hemsky is first.
