If that was the case.. and he could really average a ppg in his first FULL season in the NHL, we'd have quite the player on our hands.

Lecavalier didn't. Joe Thornton didn't. Gaborik didn't.

It'd take quite the feat to be sure. Very few players have managed to accomplish that feat. The only recent ones have been Kovy and Heater... and I'd say they are a notch above Hemsky at this point.
