I know you guys might think this is a little low but I'd say around 55 pts is realistic for me. I'd be absolutely ecstatic if he got more however. I think we all have to remember that Hemsky is still young... He's really only had one month where he's proven what he's capable of passing-wise. But I think it's bound to happen where Hemsky is going to slump and have to figure things out for himself.
Consistency is a tricky thing with young players no matter how talented. Can he keep up such a high level of performance for an entire 82 game season? Difficult to say. I know he's bulked up in muscle over the offseason but that really just helps him overcome the physcial side of the rigors of playing a 82 game sched. There's also the mental and I don't know if we can tell how he'll handle that aspect once the season rolls around.
I totally agree. The last thing I want to see happen is for people to get out of control with the Hemsky predictions of Godhood, only to tear into him like pirahna on a tubby villager when he inevitably struggles. He IS only just turned 20, as talented as he is he still a kid in mind if not in body.
That said, I'm certainly not going to hold it against him if he got 20-70-90 this year.
